About the Author
Williams is Professor of English and Linguistics at the University of Chicago, where he co-directs its Institute on Critical Thinking and Higher Order Reasoning. He received his Ph.D. in English and linguistics from the University of Wisconsin.

Joseph Bizup (Ph.D., Indiana University) is an Associate Professor of English and Director of the College of Arts & Sciences Writing Program at Boston University. He previously taught and directed writing programs at Yale University and Columbia University in the City of New York. His scholarly interests include nineteenth-century literature, especially nonfiction prose, and writing studies, especially genre, style, and argumentation.

I enjoyed this final installment in the Hidden trilogy

I enjoyed this final installment in the Hidden trilogy.

I liked how things turned out with the story lines the trilogy spun. I thoroughly enjoyed the character development of our main characters (along with a couple of minor ones).

I will say that there were several questions about the aftermath of everything that were left unsaid in this final book. I would ask the author to please strongly consider writing an epilogue to update this book with at the end. There were just so many unanswered questions.

Some of the questions I had were (SPOILER ALERT):

How did things go with Ryann's mother after the ending? Did she get better? Did she remember anything? How did the Light Elves react to the news of Ryann's & Lad's engagement? Will she be accepted as Queen? Will they announce that she's only 1/4 human?

What will they do about Davis' right hand man, Audun? He is obviously just as bad (possibly worse?) as Davis.

What about Ryann's adopted father's relationship with her mother? If he was glamoured accidentally, will their relationship fizzle out once he begins drinking saol water as well? Or is he truly in love with her mother? Regardless of if their love is true or not, how will his behavior change once the glamour has worn off?

Good but I felt a bit dissapointed

I really loved this series but have to say I was slightly let down by the conclusion.

Spoiler alert****

I expected a little more at the end. It was a bit predictable and you essentially knew how it had to end it was just a matter of how it would happen. I felt like there was all this build up with Lad and Ryan and I expected a wedding or bonding at the end and got neither. Especially after all the confusion she had with her relationship with Nox. It just seemed a little disjointed and rushed for that last epilogue and I wanted more. I know it is young adult and there cant be too much but I needed something more than a proposal. Even if it had jumped ahead a year or two to include it.

A truly captivating love triangle, sometimes square, for this magical Elven story. Perfect for any age group, a sweet and inspiring young love story. This series has been exciting to read and must be read from the beginning. The novella, Sway, is an insight into Vancia's life - a great addition to the series. The author keeps you on your toes guessing who Ryann chooses and how the "big" plan goes down. These teenagers are making very adult decisions about the future of their people yet get to behave like the kids they are. The innocence in their actions mixed with the seriousness of their endeavor makes the story intriguing. The creativity behind the Light and Dark Elves is beautiful. Her storyline involves the power of addiction (not drugs), the influence of technology and the magical Saol water. The theme touches on many current topics and events, while having a little fun with pop culture (a few movie references might make you giggle). I needed to read a fun and powerful story, this was it. Thank you Ms. Patrick for sending a review copy my way.

Thoroughly Researched

Dr. Fetters is truly a scholar and a gentleman. This Christian researcher has put together a well documented history of the first demonination to be founded in the United States, the United Brethern in Christ. In so doing he has filled a niche that had previously been void. He is to be commended for successfully meeting this challenge.

The author's storytelling skills are so captivating that he takes the reader back to the U.B. theology that preceded the activities that later took place in the U.S. He's good at establishing context and developing chronology. This is an informative book.
