A Perfect Day

This is a beautiful little companion piece to All the Little Moments. The part of me that loves these characters wishes it were 1000 pages long, but novels require some tension, some angst, whereas short stories can be perfect little bubbles, the tiny bright memories you pull out later to see you through all that angst when it finally shows up. And, really, that's what this is: a brief look at a perfect day, made even more gratifying by everything we know the characters experienced in the previous book.
Everyone gets a little moment here, and there are a number of callbacks to All the Little Moments; not so many as to feel forced or repetitive, but enough to remind us of exactly who these people are and why we like them so very much. I really enjoyed this.
Special note to the author: if you write a short story every week, I'll buy all of them. Just sayin'.

Amazon really needs to get rid of having to pick what plot you think this falls under especially when posting review on website sometimes I always don't have my Kindle with me.

Oh how I love this little group of characters.
So looking forward to more short stories or longer versions in the future. Happy to be reading about more excursions from this family.
